Privacy and cookie policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This notice explains how we process the personal data of people who write to us through the availability request form on www.assisidomusclara.it (Domus Clara in Assisi and Domus Clara City in Santa Maria degli Angeli), pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. Data controller
Luisa Fuoco
Domus Clara — Via Gabbiano, 6, 06081 Assisi (PG), Italy · Domus Clara City — Via della Repubblica, 31, 06081 Santa Maria degli Angeli (PG), Italy
Email: info@assisidomusclara.it
2. What data we collect
The request form collects only the data we need to reply to you:
- Required: full name, email address, arrival date, departure date, number of guests.
- Optional: phone number and a free-text message.
- If you enter one: the discount code (not personal data).
We do not ask for ID documents, payment details or special categories of data, and we ask you not to include them in your message. Any data the law requires from guests (for example for reporting to the public security authorities) is collected separately during the stay, not through this website.
3. Purpose and legal basis
We use the data only to reply to your availability request and, if you decide to book, to manage the booking. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR: pre-contractual steps taken at your request and, if the booking goes ahead, performance of the contract. For legal obligations (tax and accounting) the basis is Article 6(1)(c).
We do not profile you, we send no newsletters or promotional messages, and we do not share data with third parties for marketing. This website has no newsletter sign-up.
4. How the data travels and who processes it
When you submit the form, the website’s server sends an email to info@assisidomusclara.it. We do not use external form-delivery services (such as EmailJS, Formspree or Resend). The website and email are hosted by Aruba S.p.A. (Italy), which processes data on the controller’s behalf as data processor. Data is accessible only to the controller and the authorised people who handle bookings.
To work properly, the pages load some resources from third-party technical services that may receive your IP address and browser technical data: Google Fonts (typefaces, Google), unpkg.com (map library) and OpenStreetMap (map tiles). Links to Instagram, Facebook and Google Maps are plain links: those services process data only if you open them.
5. Transfers outside the European Union
The request form does not transfer data outside the EU. The only possible transfer concerns technical data (IP address) received by technical service providers based in the United States, such as Google Fonts, which operate under the safeguards provided by the GDPR (for example the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
6. How long we keep the data
- Requests that do not lead to a booking: 12 months from the last contact, then deleted.
- Confirmed bookings: for the duration of the relationship and, for tax and accounting records, for the period required by law (normally 10 years).
7. Your rights
You can at any time ask for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and object to processing (Articles 15–22 GDPR) by writing to info@assisidomusclara.it. If you believe the processing breaches the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or your local authority.
8. Providing your data
The required form fields are needed so that we can reply: without them we cannot handle your request. Phone and message are optional.
9. Cookies
This website uses technical cookies only. The public pages set no profiling cookies, and we do not use Google Analytics, tracking pixels or similar tools. The restricted administration area used by the owner uses a technical session cookie required for login. For this reason the website shows no cookie banner. If we add statistics or tracking tools in the future, we will update this page and ask for your consent first.
10. Changes
We may update this notice. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the update date at the top.
